Justice Fire & Security extends a warm welcome to Kevin Watkins, our new Business Development Manager, who brings a wealth of industry expertise to this key position within the company.
In a 40-year customer-interfacing career in the fire and security sector, Kevin has amassed extensive experience involving the installation and service of intruder and fire alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
A born and bred Brummie, Kevin attended school in Solihull, before working in a local Birmingham company, where he qualified as a service and installation engineer handling intruder, fire and CCTV installations.
Throughout the mid-eighties, he worked as regional service supervisor for a Birmingham-based public company. He then spent 20 years employed in a technical and regional sales capacity for a major national service provider. Most recently, he was General Manager at a West Midlands fire and security systems business.
“We are delighted to have Kevin on-board – it’s a great fit for our business,” said Justice Fire & Security Managing Director, Dave Sanders. “The vast knowledge that Kevin brings to the role will be a tremendous asset both for our clients and internally. His knowledge across all sectors of our industry, especially his technical know-how and face-to-face working with clients, will be hugely beneficial as we continue to expand our operation throughout the wider West Midlands catchment area.”
With business currently booming, Kevin has already hit the ground running, handling new customer enquiries across Birmingham, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire – anything from domestic system upgrades to six figure commercial fire systems.
Said Kevin: “I’ve watched and admired the Justice Fire and Security business from a distance over many years and to now have the opportunity to work here is very exciting. I’ve known these guys for over three decades and they’ve made me feel right at home.
“It has always been known as a friendly, approachable company, with a great worth ethic. I look forward to helping further develop the business, expanding an already impressive product range, as well as devoting time to interacting with new and existing customers,” he continued.
Away from work, Kevin is a keen DIY-er who likes getting stuck into painting and decorating, tiling, carpentry and flooring. He is also a keen motorcyclist and loves foreign travel. “The bucket list just seems get bigger with every passing year,” he chuckled.
